Architect Cate Comerford specializes in small homes, historic homes, and traditionally designed homes. Since 1995, her work has won over 24 Awards for Historic Preservation. Her residential work has been featured in magazines such as Period Homes, Design NJ and Shore Magazine.
Cate's new homes often reflect the ''Not So Big House'' philosophy of author Sarah Susanka. They are small, well crafted homes, ''..filled with flexible spaces and nooks, built in cabinetry, and rich details.'' Working with clients to renovate and add to older homes, Cate works in modern, open living
interiors while maintaining the traditional details of the original home, creating a comfortable mix of old and new. As a certified Interior Designer, Cate helps many of her clients complete their projects, by designing furniture layouts, and assisting in selections of paint colors, ceramic tiles, window
treatments and fabrics. Cate Comerford has a Masters degree in Architecture and is licensed in the states of Washington & Hawaii.
